Top 100 of the Decade: 81-90

The 2010s have produced some great films, excellent actors, and exciting directors. As the decade comes to a close, I find it fitting to take a look back at the best movies that have come out in the past 10 years. The best part about lists such as this is it provides a baseline for you to start thinking about how your list would differ and might just inspire you to check some of the movies out that I mention you may have never seen.

Today's post will focus on films ranked 81 to 90.

90. Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping
Lonely Island took the schtick of digital shorts and were able to successfully turn it into one of the funniest movies of the decade with endlessly quotable lines and songs.

89. Us
Jordan Peele's sophomore effort has a lot more on its mind than scares alone. Many of the images from this movie will stick in my head for years to come.

88. The Town
Bank robberies culminating at a classic baseball field have all the makings of something I would enjoy and The Town definitely delivered. Career best performances from Jeremy Renner and Blake Lively and arguably Ben Affleck's best work to date.

87. The Hateful Eight
Quentin Tarantino's oft slept on murder mystery is one of his best works to date. If you didn't catch this because of middling reviews, I cannot recommend it enough.

86. Brigsby Bear
Weird premise that does not even begin to tell the full story. This one may not be for everyone but it will reward you with a great and moving story.

85. Nocturnal Animals
Story within a story featuring crazy characters and choices that blends the high art world with the back country of Texas.

84. Hacksaw Ridge
Mel Gibson's gripping tale of a man who bravely fought for his country without ever lifting a gun. Some of the best war scenes ever put to screen.

83. Parasite
"Once you overcome the one-inch tall barrier of subtitles, you will be introduced to so many more amazing films." - Bong Joon-ho, director of Parasite

82. Star Wars: The Force Awakens
The beginning of the newest trilogy set up something that could have been truly special. It saw a great blend of old and new and reintroduced us to a galaxy far far away.

81. The Spectacular Now
Poignant and sad. Are sons bound to follow in the footsteps of their fathers are is redemption possible?

Be on the lookout for the next ten in the series.
