Bad Movie "Awards"

As this is the time of year that annual movie awards are handed out I thought I would go ahead and give you my nominations for a couple of my own categories. This first list will be some of the negative things found in the year that was 2016 for movies, but my next list will be far more praiseworthy.
(The nominations are in no particular order. Winners will be announced soon)

Most Overrated

For this specific award, none of these movies were terrible. In fact, I even enjoyed most of them to a certain extent. But I feel like a lot of critics gave them a whole lot more acclaim and praise then they deserved.
  • Lights Out
  • The Edge of Seventeen
  • A Monster Calls
  • Hidden Figures
  • Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

Most Disappointing
This award goes to the film that I was extremely hyped for because of the previous movies in the series or because of the talent behind the film, but walked away thinking of the great movie that could have been.
